Why are long term rents much lower than holiday rents?
When someone rents a house for a longer term, say six months, they will normally find it best to put the utility bills in the name of the tennant. The tennent will be buying his/her own gas bottle, washing the linen etc.
A holiday renter will have the utilities included and the owner has to clean up the place before and after they are gone, so the terms of the arrangement are quite different.
What type of Internet do you have there?
Owner's have a choice between several types of internet provider. The cheapest is Tierraplex which is a wireless internet provider that delivers a maximum 2Mb connection. The telecoms market has been deregulated in Spain so there are a range of providers that are able to offer fixed line connections. Movistar offer a connection of 10Mb for 38euro per month. Similar offers are available from Europa Networks, Jazztel and Orange. Europa Network have the advantage they offer legal British freeview television over the internet and their technical support all English speaking.
