| Biking on the Via Verde |
Olvera is a great base for a cycling holiday, having one of Andalucia’s most enjoyable and accessible outdoor routes. Running from Olvera to Puerto Serrano, the Via Verde is 38km long (just under 24 miles) has six viaducts, over twenty tunnels, two restaurants and a small hotel in the lovely building which originally housed the railway station at Olvera. Car parking is easy and bikes can be hired at either end of the route.

A great place to visit when you come to stay in Olvera is the studio/gallery of Artesania Del Prado.
Established by Elizabeth Aylmer and Jenny Stock, who left the UK several
years ago to settle in Andalucía, the studio produces hand thrown ceramic pottery and
fused and slumped glass (pictured).
